The call you never want to recieve

So yeah I am a bit behind on blogging and I promise a good catch-up post soon but I have to talk about yesterday's events first.

To get everyone up to speed in the past I have been concerned to find Camryn at times with blue feet, hand, arms, legs. At times when it didn't seem she should be cold. I had spoken with our great pediatrician about this and as long as Camryn's tongue and gums were not turning blue/purple, we felt pretty confident that she was ok.

Friday afternoon I was working from home when I got a call from our awesome daycare provider Lisa, sounding rattled and letting me know that Camryn had quit breathing after getting her nose suctioned out. She was breathing again at that point but had given everyone quite a scare with multiple rounds of stopping breathing. She had the full on blue lips and had not breathed for at least a minute the first time.

I ran right over there and called the doc on our way, they wanted me to call then back when I was with Camryn. The pediatrician decided we needed to head right to the Pediatric Emergency Room. A baby with issues breathing get to bypass all the waits and we were in a room in a flash! After checking her over the nice doctors determined she had Infant Breath Holding Spells... What that means for our future I am not sure, we'll follow up with our pediatrician and see. But basically she got mad and held her breath. She did this multiple times and I can only imagine how scary it was for Lisa to stare at her Blue lips and try to get her to breath again! Thankfully we are blessed with having someone watch the girls who is calm, competent, and very intune to my kids!

Let's hope that first time was the last for this fun childhood experience!

Too Fast

These babies they just grow to fast!

Camryn is 11 weeks old and still a champion baby.
She loves to eat and fusses any time you take away her food for even a second! But aside from that you rarely hear her cry, now what you do hear around here is a LOT of talking man can that girl babble, I guess she has figured out already that if she wants to get a word in around here she has to be quick and loud! She crashes out on us for a power nap every night about 8:00, here she is asleep on the couch!(notice the little tiny thumb that has just fallen out of her mouth)
She is sleeping through the night and basically has to be woken up to eat each morning before daycare. This past weekend Cassie was up before her each day ( no surprise there Cassie hates to sleep) She is also asleep most of the time when i pick her up at daycare, I love to gently wake her up and see her sweet smile when she realizes who is waking her up!!!

The Birthday Fun

Miss Cassandra Kay Brown turned 4 years old on June 19th!

We celebrated with a Cinderella party that she picked out and helped plan. The Pinanta being her most coveted birthday item! They now come with pull strings I am assuming to save the knocking your friends with a bat syndrom, and despite the fact that mom tripped on the strings on the way out of the store it still worked great!

We took Daddy to a Iowa Cubs game for a little fathers day fun! Notice the Scoreboard? I just wish they had spelled it correctly. Now we know Cassie can't read yet but we pointed it out and they announced it over the loudspeaker too!

Cassie has of course spent alot of time loving on her baby sister. The latest game is to bring Camryn toys to hold onto! Camryn is getting really good at grabbing rings and moving them around. It is hard to believe she is only 10 weeks old!

And for an added bonus here is my little thumb sucker. She is in love with her thumb and I think I have found the reason she sleeps through the night!

Professional Pictures

We had pictures down this past weekend in honor of Cassie's 4th Birthday ( more to come on that soon) but here are some shots to check out!

Sarah and Matt

Stealing the idea after reading a friends blog, I thought I'd introduce you to the other two members of my family you haven't met yet. Sarah and Matt.

Sarah came to live with us first, I would say it was about 1 year ago when we first met Sarah, I noticed Cassie talking about Sarah quite often and when I asked who Sarah was I was told " my pretend friend"

She plays dolls with Cassie, must have her own seat at the table, must get food, and when it is bath time she always has to be washed first. Last night after Cassie had been in bed for awhile I heard her talking so I peeked in her room and found her looking out the window, I asked her what she was doing and she said. "Sarah's leaving mom, she has to go back to New Mexico" I asked her how old Sarah was and her reply was. "three, no wait how old do you have to be to fly alone"? I answered with 7 and she said " Sarah's 7 mom" So Sarah is on a flight back to New Mexico as we speak, at least I hope she didn't get lost on her way to the airport, I better call Grandma Cookie and have her run pick her up!

Matt is another friend and he attends every tea party we have, I am just not sure where he came from, did Sarah pick him up after a crazy night out? Did Cassie find him on a walk, was he an orphan? He is shy Cassie says and that is why we don't see him much but I have to wonder where he hides. I do know he is little and likes trucks and he eats alot of food, my grocery bill becomes bigger each week and I am sure it isn't cause the parents in the house are eating more!

The pretend friends are quite fun for Cassie and her imagination is really working so I let her enjoy them. I just hope no more show up I am out of room in the car, at the kitchen table and in the bathtub for any more people!

A Weekend Wedding

A beautiful summer weekend is the perfect time for a wedding. Two weekends ago we packed up the family (and by packed up the family I mean Me, Anthony, Cassie, Camryn and about everything each girl owns) and headed out to Iowa City for the wedding we've been waiting YEARS to attend!

I am proud and excited to present to you, Cristi and B Hawk!

The Wedding was held in their beautiful garden and you culdn't have asked for better weather.
The kids were treated to gift buckets filled with toys and fun things, and of course there is plenty to do when around family.

Cassie had a love affair with the cake that started with quiet admiring you can see here why she was so anamored with the cake.

and quickly moved to premature sampling

and ended by licking her plate clean!

We stayed at the Amana's so that we could take advantage of the Wasserbaun Waterpark, Cassie had a great time and keeps asking us to go back to the hotel and the water slides.
