Camryn's Second Birthday!

Poor miss Camryn has had a bummer of a winter with 4 stomach flu's, yes 4... One of which popped up the day before the big Mickey Mouse birthday party... about 3 hours after I finished cleaning the house and baking all the cupcakes.... thanks karma!

Camryn was sick for 5 days so we had to cancel her party and reschedule, but we did get a great day for the party. Sunny, warm and filled with friends & family, what could be better!!

 I baked cupcakes and attempted to make Mickey Mouse heads out of oreos... Just so you know oreos are really had to separate, scrape clean and cut in half!

 Camryn really loved the idea of opening the gifts although she had some trouble staying on track... she wanted to play with it all when she opened it!

All in all it was a great day and I am so thankful we got to shower the little princess with love, It helped with the guilt I felt over cancelling her first party!

Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter this year, the girls were so into everything they were involved in and despite the fact that the beginning of Easter weekend totally blew, and by blew I mean our tire on the road to a wedding... We missed the wedding and some of us may have cried all the way home because we wanted to dance with the Broom. We’ve invited the Bride and Broom over for dinner soon so maybe we can re-create that dance! We finally made it home and the Easter Bunny visited so that turned the weekend right around!

Since we didn’t get to show off our pretty dresses we did a little photo shoot downtown!

Not to say you love Daddy any less cause I always hear "can't find my daddy"

Just another day in Paradise

Last saturday was a day of big excitement in our house.

We got to meet the former Iowa hawkeye quarterback Ricky Stanzi . He is such a great guy and we are excited to see him enter the NFL draft next month!

Cassie loved him! Camryn too was excited to meet him

Until that darm table corner jumped right out and got her.

What a good sport is he though huh! He tried to calm her down.. Poor baby!

Then after lunch and a nap we headed out to the mall!

We entered the mall looking like this!

There was one of those trampoline set ups in the mall so we had to test it out too! SUCH FUN!

Here is the last month in a novel

You are invited to a Party

Pity Party, Table of one!
Today is March 6, in the last 7 months my household has seen 9 rounds of the stomach flu, a double ear infection, croup, 2 rounds of strep, and some odd fever virus. Two stomach flu’s required a visit to the ER. One resulted in both the baby and I leaving in borrowed clothing and coats. The other required assistance to get my husband to the car and into the ER.
I am done, see this ? It’s my towel and I am throwing it in, I GIVE UP, surrender whatever you want to call it I am begging to be done.
Everyone except me has vomited in the last 3 weeks. But no worries I have been busy.. I have done 248 loads of laundry, changed bed sheets and buckets more times than I can count.
So I am asking for a reprieve please, whoever is in charge of germs can you get together with a scientist who can build a force field around my family? I cannot take another illness right now!

If that doesn't work who has a guest bed I can borrow? I am going to need a long vacation.

Catch up-Christmas 2010

Christmas 2010 was very nice. We spent the 24th together and late in the day Anthony's mom and grandma came up to spend the evening and be here to see x-mas morning.

To really explain this story though you need to know how the week prior went. December 22nd at about 11 pm Camryn woke up with the stomach flu. She was sick all night with the frequency increasing by 2 am. She and I headed to the ER about 3am when it turned to blood she was vomiting. After a quick IV, Blood work and some x-rays we waited in our room till we were released at about 7:00am. Diagnosis a stomach bug and a esophageal tear from the force of the constant sickness. POOR GIRL! She and I spent the 23rd recovering and she was doing pretty well by the time Christmas Eve came around.
So back to 12/24... We went out for dinner and then drove around to see the Luminarias and lovely light up houses. We arrived home just in time to listen to The Night Before Christmas and open one gift each!

the little ones got snuggled in their bed and had all the obilgatory visions while the big kids went to work.

We settled down for what we hoped to be a long winter nap and I was awoken with my fiurst gift.

Camryn had graciously shared her stomach bug with me..the rest of the early morning hours and Christmas morning were all quite a blur for me but these pictures are proof I was present!

Santa was good to us all and we are still enjyoing the toys we recieved so I think that means it was a success!
